Norma Glenn Bascio, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2021 in Columbia, Missouri. She was 87. Norma was born to Glenn and Ida DeVore on March 15, 1934 in Independence, Missouri.
After graduating from Van Horn High School, Norma started working at City National Bank, currently United Missouri Bank of Kansas City. She worked there for 49 years before retiring. Norma was an animal lover. In her younger years, she rode and showed Arabian horses in the American Royal. She was known to give a home to every stray cat that came her way. Norma enjoyed the outdoors and taking walks to enjoy nature. She was also an avid reader. Norma would collect books and donate them to others at the food bank in Emma, Missouri.
She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Musket (Paul); granddaughter, Kimberly Musket; grandson, Michael Musket (Ana), great grandchildren, Grayson and Jackson Musket and previous husband, Joseph Bascio.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Elizabeth Bascio.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 14th from 3-5 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri. Burial will take place on Saturday, May 15th at 10:30 am at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Raytown, Missouri.
