Helen L. Bass

Helen L. Bass, 77, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, April 30, 2004 at her home. Services will be 10 am Friday, May 7th at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home; with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Helen was born August 18, 1926 in Buffalo, MO to Harvey and Noma Jones. Helen was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She worked at the T.G.&Y. in Independence for 22 years, retiring as Assistant Manager. During the last 12 years, she was worked in the bakery at Sam�s Club. Her husband, Clifford Bass in 1982, and a sister, Erma Coley, preceded Helen in death. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Bass of Independence, MO, Gary Bass and wife Patti of Spokane, WA; grandchildren, Jeff Bass and wife Lori, Joel Bass and wife Renee, Jamie Bayer and husband Erik, Marc Bass, and Andrea Bass; great grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Jordon, Brianna, and Kayla; brothers, Billy Jones and wife Barbara of Urbana, MO, and Bobby Jones and wife Annabelle of Hermitage, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.
