Norma Battaglia, 82, of Clinton, MO, formerly of Independence, MO passed on Monday, January 15, 2018. A visitation will be 10-11am on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will follow at 11am.
Norma was born on October 31, 1935 in Flint, MI to Benjamin and Lena (Lankford) Fullbright. Her family later moved to Missouri and she attended Manuel High School in Kansas City where she was in the band and National Honor Society. After graduation she married Sam Battaglia, Jr on September 4, 1954. Together they raised two sons and she was an all-star mom. In her spare time she liked to sew, cook, read, listen to music and go fishing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Norma will be remembered by her husband Sam Battaglia, Jr. of Clinton, MO; sons Anthony “Sam” Battaglia and wife Melissa of Clinton, MO, Ronald “Ron” Battaglia and wife Barbara of Kearny, MO; grandchildren Angela Miller (Justin), Samantha Martin (Storm), Juliana Stasiak (Dan), Jeremiah Battaglia, April Hartwig (Duane), Willam Abraham, Sandra Lea Abraham, Elizabeth Abraham, Gabrielle Britt, Nicholas Battaglia (Rebecca), Cameron Casteel, Megan Richardson (Josh); 17 great-grandchildren; plus many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, and 1 brother.
