James R. Bauer

December 28, 1925 — November 25, 2003

James R. "Phil� Bauer, 77 of Independence, MO passed away, Tues. Nov. 25, 2003 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10:00 am, Sat. Nov. 29, 2003 at the Maywood Baptist Church, 10505 E. Winner Rd., Independence, MO 64052. Burial in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm, Friday at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Contributions are suggested to the Maywood Baptist Church or to a local Boy Scouts Of America Troop # 201. Mr. Bauer was born on Dec. 28, 1925 to John and Ruth Bauer in Independence, MO and was a lifelong area resident. He had been a National Service Manager for Rival Manufacturing, retiring after 30 years of service. He was very active member of the Boy Scouts of America and the tribe of Mic-O-Say since 1955. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and a member of Maywood Baptist Church. Phil is survived by his wife, Marion Bauer of the home. One son and his wife, Jerry & Terri Bauer of Schererville, IN. Two daughters, Joyce Hammond and husband, Jerry of Pleasant Hill, MO and Carol Bauer Moore and husband Mike of Seattle, WA. Four grandchildren, Kelli Pulliam and husband Mark, Kevin Bauer, Jerry Hammond, Jr and Megan Hammond. Three great grandchildren, Taylor Pulliam, Trenton Pulliam and Kamryn Pulliam.
