Eileen Beal

Eileen Beal, 91, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Carmel Hills Living Center. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. The rosary will begin at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 16, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church; 600 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown MO. Eileen was born January 3, 1921 in Kansas City, MO to Ira and Ruth (Woods) Coy. She was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Alter Society. Eileen will always be remembered by family and friends as a loving mother and grandmother. She chose to put others above herself, and her smile and caring heart will not be forgotten. Even during her last days, Eileen never said a harsh word and was loved by all who knew her. Eileen leaves behind daughter Sylvia Julian; Lisa Stevens Booth and Lee Stevens whom she raised as her own after the passing of her daughter Kathleen; six grandchildren: Gerald, Mark, and Aaron Julian, Marlene Mitchell, Marsha Simmons, and Sherri Meadows; seventeen great-grandchildren; nine great-great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Martin Beal. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, or Grace Hospice.
