Jerry Ray Bean, 56 of Wellington. MO passed away, Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, MO surrounded by his loved ones. Services will be 3:30 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with cremation to follow. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Jerry was born August 16, 1956 in Independence, MO to Gerald A. and Verl J. (Ryan) Bean graduating from Truman High School in 1974. He had worked as a truck driver for Fleming Babcock Inc. He had also worked for GM Fairfax Plant, the Post office and for Teague Lumber Company. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, video games, reading, target shooting, playing pool, cars and most of all cooking and spending time with his family. He was a former member of the UAW and the Postal Union. He was married to Anna Manriquez on March 19, 1985, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; 3 sons, Jerry Daniel Bean of North Kansas City, MO, Carl Ray Bean of Excelsior Springs, MO and Stephen Ray Bean and wife Nuvia of Wellington, MO; a daughter, Jade Bean of Independence, MO; a brother, Daniel Bean; a sister, Tracie Harmon; a step mother Sue and Mother Verl J. Scott of Independence, MO and 7 grandchildren.
