Betty Lou Bearce, 90 of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Gower Convalescent Center in Gower, MO. Services will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with a private burial to follow in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to the Missouri Association of the Deaf, Treasurer, P.O. Box 218, Mexico, MO 65265. Betty was born September 13, 1927 in St. Louis, MO and moved to California at a young age. While living in California she met and fell in love with Jack Bearce, the love of her life. She married Jack on November 18, 1960 and later moved to Independence in June of 1966. She was a beloved wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. Betty worked for Percy Kent Bag Company from 1972-1986. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, painting and most of all spending time socializing with her friends and family. She was a long time member of the Missouri Association of the Deaf and other hearing impaired groups. Survivors include; Ronald Bearce of Dunedin, FL and Donald Bearce and wife Denise of Trimble, MO and 2 grandchildren, Jacob L. Bearce and Grant W. Bearce.
