Forestine BeBout, 91 of Independence, MO passed away Sat. Jul 9, 2005 at her home. Visitation will be from 1 - 2:00 pm, Tuesday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep. MO with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, KCMO 64114. Mrs. BeBout was born on Jan 22, 1914 to James and Susan (Stokes) Yates in Platte County, MO. Forestine had worked in the retail bargain room and the Invoice Records Department at Montgomery Wards for many years. Previously she had been employed at Lake City Ammunition Plant during WWII. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and crocheting and was an active member of Noland Road Baptist Church where she participated in Sunday School and the Young at Heart Group, serving on the Telephone Committee for both. She was also involved in the Benevolence Committee and assisted at communion and Baptismal services. Forestine is survived by her husband Lowell K. BeBout of Independence, MO. A daughter, Billie Collobert Romero of Yucca Valley, CA. One step-son, Bill BeBout and wife Cathy of Fairfax, MO. A granddaughter, Terrie Soper Merritt and husband Bill of Camdenton, MO and a step-granddaughter, Heather BeBout of Fairfax, MO. One grandson, Cortney Collobert of Lexington, MO and a step grandson, Joshua BeBout of Fairfax, MO. One great grandson, Cam Soper and wife, Michelle of Smithville, MO. Three great granddaughters, Jessica Collobert of Independence, MO, Samantha Collobert and Katelyn Collobert, both of Lexington, MO. Two great great Grandsons, Hayden Phillips and Connor Soper. Her extended family Cheryl, Drew, Brian and Dana Davis and their families. Also by several nieces, nephews and by numerous good neighbors and friends.
