Karen Lee Beck

Karen Lee Beck, 59, of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Karen was born November 5, 1946 in Independence, MO to Thomas Anton and Mary Ann Aurilee (Fry) Roberts. Mrs. Beck was a member of the Glendale Restoration Branch Church and had a strong faith in the gospel. She earned a B.S. in Education from CMSU and had taught in the Independence School District. Karen loved her family dearly. Mrs. Beck is survived by her husband of 35 years, Charles Beck; son Carlos Kam Beck; daughter Digna Adams and husband Robbie; son Israel Beck, daughter Amelia Beck; son Isaac Beck; grandchildren Anna Marie Beck, Dammion L. and Skyler Adams; sisters Tomacina Burgess and husband Bill, Ann Hawley and husband Don; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Madelyn Allen.
