Robert V. Beeman, 82, Independence, passed away Friday, August 22, 2003 at Independence Regional Health Center. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, burial with full military honors at Swan Lake Memorial Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - First Congregation; 2840 S. 291 Highway, Independence MO, 64057. Robert was born September 9, 1920 to Frank and Minnie Beeman in Martin City, MO. Mr. Beeman graduated from Grand View High School. After high school he joined the Army Air Corps and served during World War II. Mr. Beeman was coowner of A & M Dry Cleaners for 35 years, and owned and operated Beeman�s Dry Cleaners. He was a member of the Independence Chamber of Commerce and was very active in Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, First Congregation. He enjoyed visiting the residents at The Groves. Mr. Beeman was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Alberta Beeman, in April of 2001; grandson, Troy Blakeslee, and great-granddaughter, Shawna Marie Hopkins. Robert is survived by his daughter Judy Stilwell and her husband Gary, Lee�s Summit, MO; son, Robert K. Beeman and wife Andrea, Independence, MO; son, Jack M. Beeman and wife Nancy, Wilsonville, OR; grandchildren Stephanie, Bobby, Angela, Robyn, Cammie, Michelle; great grandchildren, Charity, Sean, Breely, Bryce, Brennan, Brittany, Nolan, Truman, Payge, and Blake; one sister, Ida Mae Matykiewicz; two sisters in law, Alberta Dunfee, Betty Rollo, his loyal dog Allie, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
