Walter F. Beil

Walter F. Beil, 85, of Independence, MO, passed away, Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2005 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Wednesday at the chapel. Walter was born July 11, 1919 in Hanover, Germany to Franz and Sophia Beil. He moved to the U.S. in 1951. He worked at the RLDS Auditorium and was a Machinist for Armco Steel for 29 years until he retired in 1981. He was a member of the Zarahemla Restoration Branch and the United Steelworkers Local #2916. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ursula Beil of the home; a son, Gerhart Beil and his wife Janice of Salt Lake City, UT; a daughter, Monica Shanks and her husband John of Lathrop, MO; a sister Helga Ewert and her husband Heinz of Hanover, Germany. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
