Dianna M. Berggren, 71, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, November 7, 2014. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12th at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.
Dianna was born February 21, 1943 in Riverside, CA as one of seven children to Emery and Frances (Porsche) Hartman. She graduated from Santa Springs High School. Later, she married husband, Gary Lee on August 19, 1960 in Downey, CA. Together they had three children. They relocated to the Kansas City area where she worked for Country Pickins and NE Meat Market for over 15 years, then as a real estate agent with Eugene D. Brown for over ten years and finally for Total Gas Station for over 20 years. She enjoyed making friends, taking care of neighborhoods cats, and polishing rocks. Diana is remembered for her loving spirit, friendly and helpful attitude, and her great sense of humor. She is loved and will be missed.
Survivors include husband Gary of the home; daughter, Sherry Lorimar and husband Paul of Archie, MO; daughter, Deanna Bracken and husband Ronald of Kansas City, KS; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Gary, Paul, Rick, and Greg Hartman; and sisters, Kris Gallegos and Marilyn Hartman.
