Caroline Rose Best, 85 of Kansas City, MO passed away Tuesday, December. 15, 2015 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Private services at Carson-Speaks Chapel and burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery were held Saturday, December 19, 2015. Caroline was born September 23, 1930 in Kansas City, MO to Ole and Rosa (Hulen) Johnson and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked retail sales for several different employers. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Survivors include; 2 daughters, Linda Nichols and companion Bill Schwanke of Kansas City, MO and Donna Rowe and husband Pete of Raytown, Mo; 2 sons, Robert Best and wife Joyce of Alabama and Jim Best and wife Cindi of Smithville, MO; 2 sisters, Margie Floyd of Odessa, MO and Candy Corder of Maysville, MO; a brother, Bill Johnson of Independence, MO; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Best on August 1, 1973, a son, Ricky Best in 2006, 2 grandchildren, Michelle Van Horn in 2007 and Tommy Rowe in 2013; a brother, Ole Johnson, Jr. and a sister, Mary Piburn.
