Michael Jonathan Betts

Michael J. Betts, 22, Independence, MO passed away July 4, 2014. Cremation; private services will be planned at a later date. Michael was born March 7, 1992 in Kansas City, KS. He loved reading and was a guitar and ukulele player. He loved animals. He had a big heart and was always an advocate for the underdog. He had a special fondness for senior citizens and their experience in life. Michael is survived by his mother and step-father Pam and Paul Campbell; father Roger Betts, all of Independence, MO; brother Christopher Betts, TX; step-brother Jacob Gross and wife Tamra; nephew Draven Gross, all of Independence, MO; aunt Sherry Harvey and husband John, Broken Arrow, OK; cousins Charles & Jesse Gray, Independence, MO; Ashley Gray, TN and Rocky Shane McClary and wife Angela, Overland Park, KS.
