Gwen Biamont, 69, of Independence, MO passed away April 27, 2020. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. Services will be private. Gwen was born on October 31, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri to Leonard and Hellen (Johnson) Aulbaugh. To say that Gwen was a Renaissance woman would be an understatement! She was everything from a chef, decorating cakes, to a mechanic, specializing in small engine repair. Chocolate Delight was a family favorite so much so that both of her sons learned her recipe, and the granddaughters loved her Gumbo. Gwen enjoyed any time spent outside piddling around her yard and visiting with the neighbors. She was a Christian and enjoyed watching several different services on Sunday. Gwen was greatly loved and will forever missed by her family and friends. Survivors include: son Bryan Aulbaugh; son Tony Jones and his wife Karen; granddaughters Taylor Jones and Morgan Jones; mother Hellen Pittman; sister Eva Johnson; brother Ray Simmers; nieces Jennifer Johnson, Jordan Johnson and Rachael Simmers; nephew Jason Simmers; extended family and many friends. Gwen is preceded in death by her father Leonard Aulbaugh, and her husband Michael Dean Biamont. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the International Fellowship of Christians & Jews in memory of Gwen.
