Sara Lee Bisby, 86 of Independence, MO passed away Sat. Jul 9, 2005 at the Truman Medical Center Long-term Care. Memorial services will be 1:00 pm, Tue. Jul 12, 2005 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Indep. MO. Burial at a later date in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to St. Mark�s United Methodist Church, 603 N. Jennings Rd., Independence, MO 64056. Mrs. Bisby was born on Apr 12, 1919 to Neil and Cylesta Hall in Wadley, GA and had lived in Independence since 1938. She had worked at Montgomery Ward for 14 years and then with Southwestern Bell for 5 years. Mrs. Bisby loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles and collect anything with butterflies on it. She founded the KC Chapter of the Spinal Bifida Association and remained an active member. She was also a member St. Mark�s United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bisby was preceded in death by her husband Mearl R. Bisby. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Anita Bisby of Independence, MO. A daughter, Barbara Denham Taylor of Independence, MO. A Grandson, Randy Denham of KCMO, a granddaughter, Wendy Isbell of KCMO and nine great grandchildren.
