Carol J. Blann

Carol J. Blann, 57, of Sibley, passed away, Saturday morning at a residence in Sibley, MO. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Buckner, MO. Burial will be in Buckner Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2003 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel. The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society or to the Kansas City Hospice. Carol was born December 11, 1945 in Kansas City, MO to Omar and Catharine (Clark) Shropshire and has lived in the area all of her life. She was a homemaker and had formerly taught horsemanship for the local 4-H for 10 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She married David Blann on October 2, 1964; he survives her of the home. Other survivors include; 2 sons, Ray Blann of Independence, MO and John Blann of Oak Grove, MO; a daughter, Kathy Smith of Buckner, MO; her mother, Catharine Shropshire of Sibley, MO; a sister, Sandra Keeney of Creighton, MO and 9 grandchildren.
