Matthew C. “Matt” Bledsoe, 30, of Independence, MO, passed away, Monday, July 20, 2009 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Donations may be made to Hillcrest Ministries. Matt was born April 25, 1979 in Ft. Worth, TX. He spent his early life in Texas before moving to Independence and graduating from Truman High School in 1997. He was a self-employed contractor and owned and operated Bledsoe Remodeling and Construction. He attended Noland Road Baptist Church. Matt is survived by his son, Andrew Bledsoe of Independence, MO; his parents, Ken and Charlene Bledsoe of Independence, MO; a brother, Michael Bledsoe of Independence, MO; his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Rosalie Bledsoe of Athens, TX and a niece, Alexa Bledsoe of Gravois Mills, MO.
