Hazel Blocker

Hazel Edna Dame Blocker, 94, of Independence, Missouri went to be with her Savior and Heavenly Father, March 7, 2006 at Terrace Garden Care Center, Garden City, Kansas. Services are Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, interment in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the chapel Friday evening from 7-8:30 pm. Hazel was born on August 28, 1911 in Kansas City, MO to William and Hattie Dye. She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Arthur Dame. She is survived by a son, Donald Dame of San Clemente, CA; a granddaughter, Ericka Hoff, her husband Danny Hoff, two great-grandchildren Brody and Joselyn Hoff of Garden City, KS and Ethel Marie Wasco, Kansas City, MO. Hazel was a member of Fairmount Christian Church for over 30 years. Hazel�s beautiful smile, love, and friendship will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Fairmount Outreach food pantry, an organization where she spent many years as a volunteer.
