Sandra Gail (Shutt) Bloomfield, 74, of Houston, TX, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8th, surrounded by her three loving children. Sandra was born on March 11, 1939 to LeRoy and Vera Eugene Shutt in Buckner, MO. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1957 and on January 1, 1958 she married Tom I. Bloomfield. Sandra worked in various positions in the medical insurance community for many, many years, subsequently retiring from Aetna.
She had a very kind and loving personality and in turn she was loved and respected by all who knew her. She battled cancer for more than 16 years with grace and dignity. Her loved ones will never forget her strength and courage. Sandra was a lifelong member of the RLDS (Community of Christ) Church and most recently attended the Bay Area Branch in Webster, TX.
Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved parents, LeRoy and Vera Eugene Shutt. She is survived by her daughter, Toni Lynn Seyhun, her son, Bill Bloomfield and wife Laura, of Houston, TX, and her daughter, Angela Scott, her grandson, Scott Cook and wife Keirstin of Dallas, TX and granddaughter, Amber Rains of Houston, TX. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Shutt and wife Linda and their family of Independence, MO, and by her sister, Marcia Taylor Doctor and husband Lyndall of Blue Springs, MO and her family of League City and The Woodlands, TX.
A visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 11th at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd. in Webster, TX. Sandra will be buried next to her parents at 11:00 am, Saturday, Sept. 14th at Buckner Hill Cemetery in Buckner, MO.
