Margaret R. Boehm

Margaret R. Boehm, 92 of Independence, MO passed away Sun. May 30, 2004 at her home. Services will be 1:30 pm, Thu. Jun 3, 2004 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Osborn, MO. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm, Wed at the funeral home. Mrs. Boehm was born on Apr 2, 1912 to Charley and Grace (Moore) Sliger in Osborn, MO and has lived in the Independence area most of her life. She received her Nurses degree from General Hospital in Kansas, City, MO and had been a nurse for over 60 years. She had been a Registered Nurse at the Lake City Ammunition Plant retiring in 1978. She had also been a nurse with the Independence Health Care Center. Margaret was a member of the American Nurses Association and the Industrial Nurses Association. Mrs. Boehm was preceded in death by her husband, John. Her parents, Charley and Grace Sliger and her siblings, Bessie Doll, Hurbert Sliger, John Sliger, Charles Sliger, Frances Thompson and two infants brothers. She is survived by her son, Richard A. Boehm, Sr. of Oak Grove, MO. Four grandchildren, Richard A. Boehm, Jr. and wife, Theresa of Independence, MO, Rhonda A. Bishop and husband, Bill of Belton, MO, Maggie R. Boehm of Bates City, MO and Mason L. Moore and wife, Jeanie of Lone Jack, MO. Eight great grandchildren, Jennifer Sedgwick, Ashley Boehm, Stevie Phillips, Blake Boehm, Brandi Boehm, Paige Phillips, Mikah Schlup and Mikayla Schlup. Two great great grandchildren, Noah Bruton and Milo Moore, also by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
