Walter Leroy Boehm

Walter Leroy Boehm, 74, Independence, MO passed away May 11, 2014. Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Monday, June 2 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 10109 E. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64053. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Sisters of St. Francis, 2100 N. Noland Rd., Independence, MO 64050. Walter was born July 11, 1939, the son of Roy Charles and Louise Eva Boehm. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in Shawnee, KS in 1957 and worked in the auto industry most of his life. He was married to Judith Boehm who is recently deceased. Walter was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Boehm and sister Linda Zimmerlee. He is survived by children Matt Boehm and wife Hillary of Centennial, CO; Julia Dreiling and husband Jerry of Golden, CO; Angela Muirhead and husband Dave of Highlands Ranch, CO; Robert Boehm and wife Carola of Lakewood, CO and David S. Boehm of Placentia, CA; step-children Cyndee Hay and husband Rusty of Independence, MO; Sherry Borgmeyer and husband John of Lee Summit, MO; brother David Boehm and wife Chris of Stanley, KS; nine grandchildren; four step- grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.
