Dwight Wade Boin, 71, Independence, MO. passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Wade was born March 27, 1943 in Iberia, MO the son of Leslie Andrew and Bernice (Evans) Boin. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Wade retired from Armco Steel after 38 years. He enjoyed country music, fishing, hunting, but most of all he will be remembered for his sense of humor even during his battle with cancer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Marilyn of 50 years; daughters, Rhonda Goodwin, Lisa Dyer; son-in-law, Tim Goodwin; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Morgan Goodwin, Jordin and Jentri Dyer, and Jada Wilson; sisters, Sharon Hawn, Beverly Nye, and Brenda Hoffman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Smith, Hazel Driver; brother, Bill Boin; and his parents.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Military Honors.
