Marilyn Boin, 70 of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Rosewood Health Center. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Marilyn was born August 1, 1945 in Wyatt, MO to Edward Lee and Lorene (White) Jones. She spent her early life in Arkansas and southern Missouri before moving to Independence. She had worked as a manager for 24 Highway mini storage for a number of years until she retired in 2014. She was a beloved and fun loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed going to the casino’s, gospel music and was an avid animal lover. She was a woman of strong faith who wanted everyone to know God and was not afraid of passing on. She is survived by; 2 daughters, Lisa Dyer of Independence, MO and Rhonda Goodwin and husband Tim of Forsyth, GA; a sister, Brenda Wilson and husband Don of Dahlonega, GA; a brother, Tony Jones and wife Jewel of East Prairie, MO; 5 grandchildren, Jordin Dyer, Jentri Dyer, Jada Wilson, Kaitlin Goodwin and Morgan Goodwin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dwight Boin on September 25, 2014; 3 sisters, Dorothy Wilson, Mina Mefford and Susie Jones and a brother, Pete Jones.
