John Emil Bolfeta, Jr. Obituary December 9, 1951 – April 15, 2023
In the quietude of a Missouri spring morning, John Emil Bolfeta, Jr., passed on to the next life. A man of many talents and passions, he left behind a legacy that shall forever remain etched in the hearts of his loved ones.
Born on a crisp December day in 1951 in Kansas City, Kansas, John's life journey took him to many places, both literally and figuratively. A doting husband, caring stepfather, and an artist par excellence, John had a heart full of love, compassion, and creativity. He was also blessed with an extraordinary sense of humor, much to the delight of his family and friends.
In his younger years, John served his country with pride and fervor, donning the uniform of the United States Marine Corps. A patriot at heart, John was also an athletic basketball player for the Corps, competing with his unwavering competitiveness and determination.
John's artistic talents knew no bounds. A man with an exceptional imagination, he had the gift to create with many different mediums. John's art was a reflection of his soul, a testament to his innermost desires and aspirations.
As we bid our final farewell to John, we remember him not just for his numerous accomplishments but also for the warmth and love that he brought into our lives. May he find peace, surrounded by the colors and canvas that defined his very existence.
John is survived by his loving wife, Janis, stepson Christopher (Penny) Smith, stepdaughter Megan (Charlie) Wehner, brother Ronald Bolfeta, and five wonderful grandchildren: Aiden and Kieren Smith and Colin, Sophia, and Zoe Wehner. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia W. Peresic, and father, John E. Bolfeta, Sr.
A ceremony to celebrate John's life shall be held on May 19th, commencing at 4:00 pm at Shelter House #1 in the serene surroundings of Lake Jacomo, Blue Springs, Missouri. Come, join us as we pay tribute to a life that shall forever remain in our hearts and memories.
