Sally Jo (Stever) Boline of Smithville, MO passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Sally was born December 2, 1944 in Springfield, MO. She was a graduate of Hillcrest High School, received her undergraduate degree from CMSU, and also attended St. Paul School of Theology. Sally dedicated her life to serving and improving the lives of others through ministries in the church, community, and her work with disabled people. She and her husband founded a group home serving adults with developmental disabilities which they operated for the past 12 years. Sally’s compassion and generous love made a difference in the lives of many.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Stever and Thelma (Underhill) Stever and a daughter, Angela Marie Campbell. She is survived by her husband and soul mate Neil Boline, a son Ken Campbell and daughter Laura Reeves all of Smithville. She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren, Ryan Reeves, Jared Reeves, Angela Reeves and Daniel Campbell. Sally is also survived by two brothers and four sisters, Jim and Carolyn Stever, William and Judy Stever, Wanda and Gordon Minor, Pat and Karl Alkier, Jeannie and Marcus Merritt, and Becky (Hoppy) Frayer. Sally was blessed with a host of extended family and friends that shared countless wonderful memories.
A memorial service celebrating Sally’s life will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 1:00 pm at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church located at 9555 N. Oak Trafficway. Memorial donations to Heifer International in Sally’s name may be made at www.heifer.org
