On Saturday, February 12, 2022, Parealee Bryant Bolt, loving wife, and mother of 3 children, passed away at age 87.
Parealee was born on November 7, 1934 in Trenton, Missouri to Juanita and Paul Bryant. She was graduated from William Chrisman high school in 1952. In 1953 she married Darrell Bolt of Independence, Missouri. They raised 3 children, Kathy, Steven, and Robert.
Parealee had a long career as an executive assistant in Community of Christ, and retired in 1998 employed in the Office of the First Presidency. She then served as a volunteer for the Temple Ambassadors. She loved to cook, read, travel, and grow African violets and irises. She was also known for her quick wit and her great organizational skills. But to all of us, it was her cooking skills we enjoyed the most. Parealee was an active member of the Cornerstone Community of Christ congregation and held the office of elder.
Parealee is survived by her dear husband , Darrell; their 3 children, Kathy (Mark) Franzblau, Steven (Carol) Bolt, and Robert (Aimee) Bolt; 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation to honor Parealee will be held on Monday, February 21, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th. Street, Independence, MO 64055. The family will hold a private graveside service. Parealee will be laid to rest at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence, MO.
