Tyler Andy Keith Bond, of Kansas City, MO, a fun and loving young man who loved to collect sneakers and touched the lives of so many people, passed away on October 25, 2020. He was 21 years old. Tyler was born on June 1, 1999 in Sedalia, Missouri, to Chester Bond and Sara Garay. He attended Van Horn High School and earned his GED through job corps in 2016. He was a great son, brother, nephew, grandson and cousin who enjoyed playing basketball and video games, especially Apex Legends and Call of Duty on his PlayStation.
Tyler was a prankster and absolutely loved playing jokes on people and enjoyed listening to his favorite music artist, NBA YongBoy. His family knew him as a hard worker who was very kind and had a big heart. Tyler got to live out his dream in Colorado for an entire summer. He was such a free-spirited young man who loved being goofy, had a mind of his own and he will be deeply missed.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Sara (Juan) Garay; siblings, Caleb Bond, Gabriella, Carlos and Allison Garay; grandparents, Judy (Mark) Young, Patty Bond, Tom (Ginger) Walz and Dan (Kim) Welch; uncles and aunts, Bill (Cari) Schawo, Amy (Scott) Clancy, Tracy (Justin) Shroeder, Joe (Sarafia) Walz, and Kandi Bond and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Keith Bond and grandfather, Wayne Bond.
A visitation will be held from 5-7:00pm on Tuesday, November 3, with a service the following day, Wednesday, November 4, at 10:00am, both at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. in Independence, MO. He will be laid to rest at Mount Washington Cemetery.
