Bonnie Rosalyn Pitts

Bonnie Rosalyn Pitts, 90, peacefully went to be with Jesus on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO, 64055.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Floral hills East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Red Cross, California Wildfire Relief (redcross.org).

Bonnie was born July 31, 1934 to Darrell & Marjorie Spears and grew up on a farm with 3 sisters and a brother in Ballard, MO. After graduating from high school, Bonnie moved to the 'big city' and went to work at Sears Roebuck & Co. It wasn't long before she met the love of her life, Dee Pitts. Dee and Bonnie enjoyed serving the Lord together at New Salem Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Lee's Summit their entire married life.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Dee Pitts. Bonnie is survived by daughters Vicky Brisco and husband Rich, Sharon Alexander and husband Rick; grandchildren Haley, Brandon (Alicia), Jessica (Nathan), Jason; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Wyatt, Weston and Della; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
