July 15, 1919 — March 1, 2004

Harry Neal Boone, 84 of Independence, MO passed away Mon. Mar 1, 2004 at the Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 10:00 am, Fri. Mar. 5, 2004 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 - 8:30 p.m., Thursday at the Funeral Home. Mr. Boone was born on July 15, 1919 to John and Alice Boone in Chillicothe, MO and has lived in the Independence area most of his life. He had been a Maintenance Supervisor for Styro Fabricators, retiring in the early 1980�s. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Boone was a loving and caring Husband, Father & Grandfather. He had a passion for trains, candy and traveling and especially enjoyed family gatherings. He was a volunteer at the Medical Center of Independence. Harry was a member of Rockwood Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and an active member of various committees and programs. Mr. Boone is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gerry Boone of Independence, MO. A son and his wife, Harold and Joanne Boone of Blue Springs, MO. Two daughters and their husbands, Wanda and Gene Wiley of Independence, MO and Sherri and John Marquez of Kansas City, MO. Nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. A brother, John E. Boone of Hemet, CA and a sister, Opal F. Pope of Montclair, CA.
