Gladys A. Bordeno

Gladys A. Bordeno, 96, of Independence, MO, passed away, Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2005 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Saturday morning at the chapel. Donation may be to Grace Hospice or to St. Luke�s United Church of Christ. Gladys was born November 3, 1908 in Independence, MO to David A. and Esther (Lewis) Burch. She was a lifelong resident of the Independence area. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzles and gardening. She was a member of the St. Luke�s United Church of Christ, where she was also a member of the church quilters group. She was married to William Bordeno on March 1, 1928, he passed away in 1993. Survivors include; a son, Bill Bordeno of Kansas City, MO; 2 sisters, Josephine Garrison and Fannie Mae Linenbringer both of Independence, MO; 3 grandchildren, Mitchell Bordeno of Houston, TX, Joni Horn of Lee�s Summit, MO and Shawn Bordeno of Kansas City, MO; 3 step grandchildren, Jack Garrison and Jeff Garrison both of Independence, MO and Randy Garrison of Missouri City, MO and 3 great grandchildren, Carlee Bordeno, Lainey Horn and Eric Horn.
