Terry Boring, 74, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Cremation is planned with a celebration of his life to be held at a later date.
Terry was born on January 30, 1944 in Kansas City, KS to Dale and Lois (Campbell) Boring. After high school he proudly served in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged after 6 years then served another 4 in the Army. In 1974 he married the love of his life, Vanita Guilliams. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing BINGO. Terry would work at the BINGO hall in Belton and loved socializing with everyone. He also was a member of the Optimist Club. Terry and his wife had a pool at their home and he loved to have pool parties and teach his grandchildren to swim.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of over 40 years, Vanita Boring of Lee’s Summit, MO; daughter Debbie Todd and husband Todd of Belton, MO; sister Sharon Goldbeck and husband William of Kansas; brothers Jim Boring of Hawaii, and Craig Boring and wife Jan of Missouri; grandchildren Jeremiah Todd (Cora), Daniel Todd, and Jonny Todd; great-grandchildren Victoria Todd, Alex Todd, and Abigail Todd; plus several other extended family members.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, son Walter Boring and granddaughter Stephani Todd.
