Nancy Jo Bostwick, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away early Sunday morning, December 18th, 2022. She was 84 years old.
Nancy was born on January 24, 1938 in Mexico, Missouri to Charlie and Margaret Elsea. She attended and graduated from Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska.
Nancy was a legendary cook, never met a dog she didn’t love, and was easy to find in a crowd thanks to her signature red hair color. She cared deeply for her family, and being “Mom” was not only a tremendously important role to her, but it was also where she shined brightest and felt most comfortable. Ultimately, absolutely nothing was more valuable to her than her relationship with Jesus. If you didn’t know of Nancy’s love for the Lord, it wouldn’t be long before you did, and at long last, she is free from the earthly body that could only take her so far and now resides in her eternal home with our beautiful savior.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; Charlie Joe and Margaret Lucille (Alcorn) Elsea, and her husband; John Bostwick. She is survived by her children; Tammy Fritz (Peter), Bob Hoberg (Beth), Terese Leibert (Terry), Randy Brock (Lori), and Nicole Carleton (David), 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will take place at Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 E 39th St. Independence, MO 64055) from 1-2pm on Thursday, December 29th. Nancy’s service will immediately follow the visitation. A private family graveside service will take place the following day.
