Larry Lee “Pete” Bott, 78, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, November 14, 2008. A Mass to celebrate his life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. at the church. Private burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice or to the church. Larry was born July 27, 1930 in Kansas City, MO to Warren and Marguerite (Fox) Bott. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the IBEW local #124. Family was the most important part of his life. They spent some great times together at the Lake of the Ozarks and on family vacations. His 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren called him “Popo Peeps”, which always brought a smile to his face! Larry will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Lorine (Brookshire) Bott; children and spouses, Kathy and Galen Hoff, Susan and Russell Burton, Sharon Bott, Warren and Suzie Bott, Patty Bott, Teresa and Terry Robert
