Mary Kathryn Boutross, 81, passed away on July 20, 2017.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25, from 10-11 a.m., with Mass at 11 a.m., both at St. Ann’s Parish, 10113 E Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64053. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in her honor.
Mary was born on July 4, 1936, in St. Joseph, MO, to John and Helen (O’Reilly) Wilmot. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School of Independence in the class of 1952. She married James Boutross in 1960 and to this union were born four children. For the last forty years, she was a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mary was a stay-at-home mom until the death of her husband in 1979. She then became a medical assistant for Drs. Johnson & Niemes. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, and also enjoyed crocheting, reading on her Kindle, and shopping for antiques with her family and friends.
She is survived by her four children: Mark (Lisa) Boutross, Lisa (Steve) Faust, Christy (Terry) Wright, and Marcy Vaccariello; grandchildren: Kelly, Adam, Alex, Kristin, Kari, Katie, Aaron, Klaire, Andrew, Stephanie, Zach, Danny, Eric, Ben, Nomi, and Shelby; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janet Roehl and Helen “Dee Dee” Hammer; and many extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, John and Helen; and sister, Sue Wilmot.
