Sandra “Sandy” Lee Bowen
Sandy Bowen, affectionately known as Grammy, went home to Jesus on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. She was surrounded by her loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 at Carson-Speaks Chapel.
Sandy was born in Kansas City, Missouri where she spent her time bartending and raising her children. In 1997, Sandy moved to Warsaw, Missouri where she found peace and stillness in the country. Nothing compared to her morning coffee in the woods.
Sandy’s passion was her family. She loved her family and friends more than words could express. In that sense, the feeling was mutual. She made an impact on everyone she met, and often encouraged people to put their best foot forward. Her other hobbies included fishing, hunting, sewing, and playing cards. Sandy was also a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Sandy is survived by her daughter, Karen (Pat) Carter; grandchildren, Kylie (Aaron) Scully, Chris (Athena) Carter, Niki (Tony) Sheridan, Missy (Justin) Roll, Cody (Miki) Calhoon, and Candace (Jamie) Davis; great-grandchildren, Emma, Isaac, Connor, Christian, Cameron, Logan, Matthew, Avery, Gabby, Kingston, Owen, Jackson, Max, Anson, Anaya, Finn, Jay, and Jace; brother, John (Debbie) Richardson; and sisters, Theanne Richardson and Kathy Gifford.
