Frederick A. Bower

Frederick A. Bower, of Independence, MO, went to his Lord and Savior on March 18, 2005 at St. Joseph health Center. He was born in Sioux City, IA June 24, 1924. He was very generous, loving and caring with his family and friends. He served his country during World War II in the European and Middle Eastern campaigns from 1943 to 1946. Before coming to Independence, he worked in the Aero Space industry in California. Then becoming a custodian in 1971. He retired from Independence School District in 1988. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Irma of 41 years. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Arlon Gray; a grandson, Arlon F. Gray; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Gray all of Independence; 2 brothers, Charles and Lawrence and 2 sisters, Norma and Luann all of California. Cremation with private memorial services are planned.
