Faye E. Boxberger

Faye E. Boxberger, 77, of Independence, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2003. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2003 at the Central Assembly of God Church in Independence, burial at Floral Hills East Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the Church. The family suggests contributions to Central Assembly of God - Faye Boxberger Memorial Fund, In honor of Zachary Phillips. Faye was born January 2, 1926 in Butler, MO to the late Les and Lucille Downing. She loved to spend time with her family. Faye was a former member of Rockwood Baptist Church, and an active member of Central Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Boxberger was preceded in death in 1999 by her husband of 57 years, Elbert Boxberger, and a brother, Harold Downing. She is survived by two daughters, "Cricket� Elberta and Jim Gray; Beth and Harold Martin, both of Independence, MO; four granddaughters: Kim Phillips, Cheyenne, WY; Karen Echols, Deana Monk, Amanda Martin, all of Independence, MO; five great grandchildren: Zachary and Shaun Phillips, Cheyenne, WY; Taylor and Mackenzie Echols, and Cliff Monk, all of Independence, MO; one brother, William Downing, Raytown, MO; and sister in law, Helen Gibson, Overland Park, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.
