Catherine Boyd (Vogel)

Catherine Boyd, 79, of Independence, MO passed away April 2, 2017. A visitation will take place from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 7, at the Suburban Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rolling Acres Pet Cemetery or Animal’s Best Friends. Catherine was born May 11, 1937 in Kansas City, MO to Russell and Anna (Brown) Vogel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Lawrence “Larry” Boyd; one daughter, Dianne Boyd; one son, Ricky Lynn Boyd; and one brother, Russell “Buddy” Vogel, Jr. She is survived by three children, Larry Boyd, Laura Leabo and husband Terry, Cathy Boyd; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Homer and James Vogel; and her dog and cat, Buddy and Heidi.
