Lloyd G. Boyer

Lloyd G. Boyer, 83, of Independence, MO passed away July 29, 2018. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel with burial to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. Lloyd was born April 20, 1935 in Clay County, MO to Lloyd M. and Josephine (Robey) Boyer. In 1997, he retired from Consolidated Freight Ways after 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn Boyer; and brother, David Boyer. He is survived by his two daughters, Regina Lindsey Uptegrove of Blue Springs, MO, Sheila G. Graham of Independence, MO; one son, Kevin Boyer of Independence; sister, Shirley (Boyer) Kern of Liberty, MO; three granddaughters; one grandson; four great granddaughters; and three great grandsons.
