John Wesley Boynton, 88, of Sugar Creek, Mo passed away August 3, 2016. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Carson Speaks Chapels. Funeral services will be 2pm Monday, August 8, 2016 at the chapel. Burial will take place in Mound Grove Cemetery. John was born on January 16, 1928 in Kansas City, MO to Victor and Geneva Boynton. He was a graduate of William Chrisman High School. After high school, John joined the US Marines where he proudly served his country. For over 35 years John owned the Farview 66 Station on 24 Hwy. John not only took care of their cars, he was also there for his customers. He was an honest businessman and his customers depended on him. John also enjoyed driving a school bus for kindergarten children. He was a supportive father without interfering. John liked to tease people, but everyone loved him. He and his wife, Beverly enjoyed several trips to Las Vegas where John would always have luck on his side at the crap tables! Survivors include; wife of 58 years Beverly Boynton; sons Bill Boynton, John Boynton, Frank Boynton, and John Russell; daughter Pam Kibler; brother Tom Boynton; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Gene, Vic and Betty. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Friends of Sugar Creek Historical Society.
