Lawrence D. “Larry” Bradley, 88 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Lebanon City Cemetery in Lebanon, MO. Donations may be made in his name to Coventry Estates Baptist Church for the youth department. Larry was born May 17, 1933 in Camden County, MO to Elsworth and Emma (Brown) Bradley and spent his early life in that area graduating from Stoutland High School in 1951. He married the love of his life, Crystal (Chris) Gregory on November 20, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings and his wife, Chris. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas while he was in the Army where they made many lifelong friends. His father had a blacksmith shop where he learned a lot of skills to carry on his life’s work. He had worked as a machinist for Armco Steel and he operated Bradley Service Company Inc. from 1977 until 2017. He had designed and built several items used in the railroad industry. He was a member of Coventry Estates Baptist Church. Survivors include; a daughter, Teresa Grindstaff and husband Rick of Independence and 3 grandchildren, Henry Grindstaff and wife Alexis, Lisa Grindstaff and Shelby Wilhelm all of Independence, MO.
