Kenneth Brady

Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Brady, 56, of Indep, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, in Kearney.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 PM., Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO 64052. The family will greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM., on Thur, Sept. 12, 2013, at the funeral home. Kenny was born on October 21, 1956, in Lexington, the son of Don Charles and Ina Karen (Bloom) Brady.

Kenny was a 1975 graduate of Hardin Central High School. At the time of his passing he was employed at Metro KCATA as a diesel mechanic. Kenny loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching Chiefs football and Mavericks hockey. Kenny had spent the majority of his life breaking and caring for horses, and taking long rides. He had a huge heart and would help anyone. Kenny enjoyed meeting new people and never knew a stranger.

He is survived by the love of his life of 35 years, Tammy Brady; their children, Jason Brady and his wife Amanda, Indep; Kendra Mitchell and her husband Jarrod, Kansas City; Jacob Brady and his wife Krista, Indep; and Angela Dickerson and her husband Robert, Indep; six grandchildren, Mason, Mya and Annabelle Brady; Justin, Cameron and William Dickerson; two brothers, Donnie Brady, Indep; and Ray Brady and his wife Brenda, Kansas City; one nephew, Zachary Brady; four nieces, Stephanie Bond, Holly Brady, Nicolette and Amanda McCann; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
