Dorothy Brand

Dorothy Ida Mae Brand, 107, of Independence, MO passed away October 13, 2013. She was born October 4, 1906 in Chicago, IL. Dorothy lived most of her life in Independence, MO. She was a member of the Community of Christ, Stone Church Congregation. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Brand; son, James M. Brand II; brother, L. Marion Keir; and sister, Maxine Roper Sherman. She is survived by her niece, Mary Ann Benson; nephews, Monty K. Roper and Michael O. Roper. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Mound Grove Cemetery.
