William C. Branscom, 74, of Independence, MO passed away November 24, 2005. A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Fairmount United Methodist Church 2119 Holke Rd. Independence, MO, 64057. In lieu of flowers donations may be made Fairmont United Methodist Church or to the organization of the donor�s choice. Bill was born August 15, 1931 in Kansas City, MO to William and Mae Branscom. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. Bill retired as Export Traffic Manager with Hallmark Cards after 44 years. He was a dedicated volunteer at the Medical Center of Independence for several years; a lifelong member of the American Legion; Boy Scout Leader; and a Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Rodney Branscom; and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia Branscom; sons, Ronald Branscom of Independence, MO, Jeffrey Branscom of Lone Jack, MO; daughter, Suzie Phipps of Independence, MO; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nephew, Bob Allfree of Collins, MO.
