ROBERT LOUIS BRASHEAR
Robert “Bob” Brashear, 73, of Independence, MO, was called to his eternal resting place on March 24, 2017. A visitation will be held from 2-3pm on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A memorial service will follow at 3pm at the chapel.
Bob entered this world on May 22, 1943 in Independence, MO, born to Louis and Dorothy Brashear. He served in the Air Force from 1960 - 1964 and then started working at the Lake City Army Ammunition plant where he retired after 35 years. He spent the majority of his retirement with his wife at Table Rock Lake, prior to moving back to the Independence area. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a hard worker and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed building and restoring anything from houses to cars and was quite the cook. When he wasn’t hard at work he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He will be remembered by his wife Barbara Brashear of the home; his daughters Nicki Robinson and husband John, Jenny Doctor and husband Brian; grandsons Jason Robinson, Tyler Robinson, Aiden Doctor, and Samuel Doctor; siblings Dorothy Sawyers, Garry Brashear, Linda Lockart, and Terry Brashear.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Research 1 West 2316 E. Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO, 64132.
