Wanda Braxdale

Wanda L. Braxdale, 85 of Blue Springs, MO passed away, Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Greenton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Heartland Chapter, Inc. 4640 Shenandoah Ave St. Louis, MO 63110. Wanda was born April 17, 1928 in Pike County, MO to Thomas E. and Elizabeth (White) Cannon. She had worked for Lake City Ammunition Plant for a number of years until she retired in 1973. She is survived by a brother, Robert W. Cannon and wife Jo Ann of Bowling Green, MO; 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Braxdale and Jennifer S. Braxdale-Ruch; 7 great grandchildren a long time dear friend, Ann Mollenhour of Blue Springs, MO and her pet turtle of 57 years, “Tutter”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell F.
