Wilda (Whisman) Bray, 93 of Raytown, MO passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at her residence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Monett, MO at 3:00 p.m., Thursday. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, November 1, 2017 at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to American Cancer Society. Mrs. Bray was born in rural Shell Knob, MO to Lee and Lorene Whisman. She was married to Carl Bray 48 years until he preceded her in death on July 4, 1995. She is also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Jerry. Survivors include; 3 sisters, Geneva McCormick and husband Lee, Emogene Marshall and Robbie Williams and husband Hal; 13 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews and 17 great great nieces and nephews. Wilda taught school in Barry County, Mo for 6 years, sold real estate for 8 years and worked in photographic labs 46 years. She had unlimited love and admiration for her family and gospel singing was her greatest enjoyment. She was a charter member of Loma Vista Baptist Church.
