Wayne Brewer Sr

Wayne E. Brewer, Sr., 87, of Independence, MO passed away October 25, 2013. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31st at Mound Grove Cemetery.
Wayne was born March 8, 1926 in Mercer, MO, adopted by Norman and Margaret (Gates) Brewer. He attended Northeast High School before marrying his beloved Betty (Fitzwater). He was a self employed auto mechanic. Wayne also worked for Inter-City Freight Lines, Percy Kent Bag Co., and American Sterling. He especially enjoyed wood crafts and working with his hands. He was preceded in death by his wife; sons, Gary and Ronnie Brewer; and great granddaughter, Layla. Wayne is survived by sons, Wayne Brewer, Jr. and wife Joan of Grain Valley, MO, Larry Brewer and Donnie Brewer, both of Independence, MO; daughters, Joyce Reed and Michelle Brewer both of Independence, MO; thirteen grandchildren, Lisa, Terri, Steve, Chad, Michael, Stephanie, Louie, Mystie, Renee, Ashley, Cory, Jordan and Austin; thirteen great grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
