Yvonne Elaine Brice, 93 of Independence, MO passed away, Monday, November 7, 2016 at Wilshire at Lakewood. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Friday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Yvonne was born July 15, 1923 in Union Star, MO to Arthur E. and Garnet (Squires) Perry. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who had also worked at TWA. She enjoyed playing Bingo, the organ and was a very accomplished dancer and delighted in dancing often. She was a long time and very active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Survivors include: Melinda Weir and husband Chris of Independence, MO; a granddaughter, Margaret Elaine Weir; a great granddaughter, Christina Marie Gann and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Brice in 1994 and a brother, AJ Perry.
